I Will Go Home A Mulit-disciplinary Production Inspired by ‘The Little Prince’

FUNDAMENTAL MULTI-DISCIPLINARY presents

The little prince left his Rose to explore the universe and landed on earth and his only way to return is through the lethal poison of the snake. Did he actually go home?

In search of the elusive elixir of youth, illustrious explorers from Ancient China, along with a ship full of children, set sail eastward to what would become Japan today…

The modern day prince left his homeland in search of what is Asia, landed in Singapore. Will he go home?

Seen through the lens of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) by French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, I Will Go Home is a theatrical exploration of flux. Specifically, it examines human migration and diaspora, from the time of Zheng He's expeditions, to the present day, where ceaseless streams of migrants pervade our lives. Amid this ebb and flow of departures and arrivals - where is home? Within this transient state of constant flux - Is home truly where the heart lies?

I Will Go Home is an attempt to emulate the transient nature of travel and migration. Players perform in a fluid environment of constant dialogue and interplay between musician, video artist, and actor.
Directed by Nick Ng. Music & Sound Design by Lim Koon Hiong. Multimedia Design by Mike HJ Chang. Performed by Lim Koon Hiong, Serena Pang, Tan Mei, Law Kian Yan, Mike HJ Chang and Tammy Soh.
